Add Tally to Claude

Each person adds it once, with their own Claude account, and it follows them to their phone.

Before you start

  • Someone at your shop has added you on the Team page.
  • Your Claude plan allows custom connectors: Free (one connector), Pro, Max, Ultra, Team, or Enterprise. You pay Anthropic for the plan, not us. On Team or Enterprise, an owner may need to add it first (see below).

Claude on the web or the desktop app

  1. Open claude.ai or the desktop app.
  2. Go to Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Tally and paste the connector link. If Claude asks how to sign in, choose Sign in now and Register automatically. Otherwise leave Advanced settings empty.
  4. Click Add. If the Tally sign-in page doesn’t open, click Connect next to Tally.
  5. On the Tally sign-in page, enter your work email, then the eight-character code. The code comes by email, so there’s no password to remember.
  6. Check that the approval screen names your shop, and click Allow.

Turn it on in a chat

  1. Start a new chat.
  2. Click + by the message box, then Connectors, and switch Tally on.
  3. Ask a question. When Claude asks permission for a Tally lookup, choose Always allow.

Claude on your phone

Add it on a computer first. It then shows up in the Claude app for iPhone and Android. Switch it on under +, then Connectors.

Team and Enterprise plans

  1. An owner opens Organization settings, then Connectors, clicks Add, chooses Custom, then Web, and adds Tally with the connector link. Members can’t add custom connectors themselves.
  2. Each person goes to Customize → Connectors, finds Tally, and clicks Connect to sign in as themselves, so their own permissions apply.

Claude moves its menus around. If a step doesn’t match, look for “Connectors” under Customize, or see Troubleshooting.
