What’s new
Each release of Tally, newest first, in a few plain lines.
Version 0.9.41 October 18, 2026
- Change a list in one go: up to 25 counts, prices from a rule (“Shimano down 10%”), orders for several stores, or transfers from Tally’s suggestions.
- Put a whole list back in one request, and download the values as they were before it goes through.
- Work orders: due date, mechanic, and hook, on one or up to 25 at a time.
- You choose which changes wait for your OK, with limits on price drops and changes per day.
- The weekly brief lists last week’s changes made through Tally, who made each, and how to put each back.
- A new check finds items named for one store that keep selling at another.
- New shops get an email when their data is ready, with three questions to start.
- Reorder points worked out for you from sales and the vendor’s lead time; a customer’s email, call, and mail choices.
Version 0.9.38 October 18, 2026
- Tally now works the way your shop does: tell your assistant how you handle a job, and it remembers the steps for next time.
- Answers no longer assume a bike shop. Work order statuses, labor, big purchases, and sizes are read from your own catalog and your own words.
- Online sales show each order’s store, stock, and nearby transfers as plain facts, and you decide how they’re settled.
- Every change of store on a finished sale is reported, none waved through as routine.
- Your assistant can start a work order for any customer, from a sale or not, for your OK.
- Overtime, your season, and your sale price level follow your own rules once you tell your assistant.
- Easier to read: small text has more contrast, and Settings is one tidy column.
- A new shop runs on its own stores' clock from the moment it connects, and price bands fit what it sells.
Version 0.9.31 October 16, 2026
- Item searches grouped by model, and unfinished sales, answer faster.
- Your assistant makes one call where it sometimes made two. Every answer has the same figures as before.
Version 0.9.30 October 16, 2026
- See which prices didn’t keep up with rising costs, each with a suggested price that brings back its old margin.
- A month-end check of what’s sitting on work orders, layaways, and special orders, with a short clean-up list.
- Hours by pay period, ready for payroll, with the punches to fix first.
- Answers about discounts now say how much of the period they can see, when your sales don’t record a normal price.
- Your assistant can now start a purchase order or change a price for your OK, once you agree in Settings.
- A weekly brief: last week against the week before and the same week last year, by email on Monday mornings if you pick it in Settings.
- See what was added to the catalog this week, one row per model, with what needs a second look.
- Sales and stock value now match Lightspeed’s own reports, and lists lead with what you can act on.
Version 0.9.29
- Likely typos in item names, with the items to fix.
- Fix an item’s name, category, brand, SKUs, or UPC from your assistant, shown in full for your OK and easy to put back.
- Update vendor costs from a pasted price list.
- Tag customers, fix a customer’s contact details, and tidy duplicates.
- A follow-up like “what about gravel?” now uses what the conversation is already about.
- New changes you can make from your assistant stay off until each one has been checked.
